UCU Cardinals – Men’s Football Team

The UCU Cardinals are UCU’s official men’s football team. Known for their energy, grit, and tactical brilliance, the Cardinals have consistently impressed in the Pepsi University Football League (UFL). In the 2023/24 season, they reached the finals, showcasing determination and heart even when playing with 10 men in the championship clash against Nkumba University. The Cardinals train hard, play harder, and represent the spirit of UCU on every pitch they step onto.

UCU Lady Cardinals – Women’s Football Team

The Lady Cardinals are a formidable force in women’s university football. They’ve earned their reputation through dominant performances at regional events like the East African University Games, where they demolished the University of Dodoma 6–0 in 2024. With top players like Nakagolo Jovia and a fiercely competitive spirit, the Lady Cardinals continue to raise the standard for women’s football in the region.
