The 2025 National Basketball League (NBL) season is set to tip off on March 21, with Uganda Christian University (UCU) Canons and Lady Canons ready to compete in another exciting campaign. The fixture release confirms that UCU-Mukono will serve as one of the host venues for multiple league games, giving the teams a crucial home-court advantage.
Lady Canons start with Ravens on Sunday.
The UCU Lady Canons, who finished as runners-up last season, will begin their campaign on Sunday, March 23, against Miracle Ravens at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.
Their first home game at UCU-Mukono will take place on Saturday, April 5, against Nabisunsa.
Other key matchups for the Lady Canons include a fixture against KIU Rangers on March 28 at Lugogo, a contest expected to be a strong test early in the season.
Canons Open Season Against Kampala Rockets
The UCU Canons will tip off their season on Wednesday, March 26, against Kampala Rockets at Lugogo Indoor Stadium. Their first home game will be on Saturday, April 5, where they will take on Rezlife Saints at UCU-Mukono.
They will then play another key home game against Sommet BC on April 19 before facing JKL Dolphins on April 26 at UCU, a matchup expected to be highly competitive.
UCU to Host Multiple NBL Games
As one of the key venues for the 2025 NBL season, UCU-Mukono will host several crucial matchups for both the Canons and Lady Canons, including:
